How much a solar system produces in Attica
Attica has some of the highest sunshine levels in Europe. A south-facing system tilted at around 30° produces roughly 1,400–1,600 kWh per kWp per year. A 6 kWp system on a detached house delivers about 9,000 kWh.
Detached houses
The most efficient solution is a rooftop solar system with net billing, combined with a heat pump for heating, cooling and hot water. A battery also covers your evening consumption. In homes with a pool, the pool heat pump runs during the same hours as the solar system.
Apartment buildings and flats
Installing on the roof of an apartment building requires a decision by the owners' general meeting. For those without a roof, balcony solar systems of up to 800 W are the new solution, once approval is complete. A heat pump can replace an individual boiler.
Businesses
Offices, shops and workshops consume mainly during the day, so self-consumption is high. Where the grid is saturated, zero feed-in with a battery is often the answer.
